Unlike traditional plastics, UHMWPE does not melt and flow when heated, so it cannot be processed by injection molding or blow molding. Derived from powder metal technology, extrusion molding is its most common processing method, ensuring tough finished products.
As a linear polyethylene with a molecular weight over 3 million, UHMWPE is an engineering plastic with comprehensive performance. Its wear resistance, impact resistance, corrosion resistance, self-lubrication and impact energy absorption are unrivaled, earning it the title of "miracle material".
